Dr. Kathryn Nelson-Murphy

DNP, DNH, FNP-BC

Dr. Nelson has an extensive background in education, prevention, and wellness. Having worked in the health care arena for nearly 40 years, she has had the privilege to help innumerable people improve their health and well being. She possesses expertise in bio-identical hormone replacement, thyroid management, adrenal fatigue, cardio-vascular prevention, and primary care. Dr. Nelson believes strongly in education and partnering with patients to achieve their health care goals. Many of the diseases that affect us, such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and chronic stress, can be avoided with proper nutrition, physical activity, nutritional supplements, and restoring the body to proper balance. With not only clinical expertise, but also a background in education, Dr. Nelson believes it is imperative for the patient to understand what is happening to their bodies, be educated in health management, and partner with the medical provider to reach their goals.

Dr. Nelson has presented health care topics at local, state, and national venues. She has also served as adjunct faculty for Indiana Wesleyan University and has been a preceptor and educator for many local universities.

Laura Weber

FNP-BC

Laura is our new board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is an Ohio native and obtained her nursing degree from Wright State University in 2009. She worked as an ER nurse during her nursing career and while obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2014. She also has a background in business with degrees in Marketing and Management from Wright State University from 2004.

Laura believes strongly in partnering with her patients to achieve their health management goals, assisting each patient to be functional and productive in their daily life and improving their health. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings since graduation. She has experience in multiple areas including genetic testing and hormone replacement therapy. She provides care to patients utilizing a functional medicine emphasis.

Laura believes strongly in education and collaboration, with not only clinical expertise but a strong educational knowledge. She feels it is imperative for each patient to understand what is happening in their body and their role in health improvement and outcome

Dr. Kim Sunshein

DNP, FNP-BC

Kimberly Sunshein, DNP, FNP-BC, has 15 years experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Cincinnati in 2018, her Master of Nursing degree at Wright State University, and her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Radford University. Her work experience includes an Army Nurse Corps officer, an emergency department nurse practitioner for the past 16 years, along with employment at a nursing facility as a nurse practitioner. Her scope of practice and professional interests include weight loss & overall health, family practice and emergency medicine.

Kim loves to spend time with family. She is married with three grown children: Kyle, Morgan and Tyler, and a newborn granddaughter, Riley. Her favorite stress reduction activity is running trails with their two labrador retrievers, Mya and Zoey. She loves to ride her horse, Tassa, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Cherie Gee

FNP-BC

Cherie is our new board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her nursing degree from the The University of Cincinnati in 2005. She has experience in a variety of settings most of her nursing career has been spend in critical care, including ten years in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. She obtained her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2020 from Chamberlain University. Cherie is married with three children. A majority of her free time is spent with family at her children’s’ extracurricular activities.

Cherie believes in spending time getting to know her patients in order to give the best possible care. This allows for a strong partnership with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. She also believes thorough patient education is important to a patient’s success. Through her own experiences she has gained an appreciation for functional medicine and helping patients become their best.

Dr. Tina Marie Parks

DNP, FNP-BC

Dr. Parks has committed her life to healthcare, beginning at 16 years old as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). At 18 years old, while in high school, she simultaneously completed the state board requirements to begin serving 8 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and continued to become a Registered Nurse (RN) and a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC). She had dedicated her 20 plus year career educating persons with complex chronic illness, specializing in Medical-Surgical and Geriatric Care for people 50yrs and older. Dr. Parks’ passions also lead her in championing matters of equity, diversity, and access to the best care for all.

Dr. Parks is from the South Side of Chicago. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2015 from Purdue University, Family Nurse Practitioner certification from Carson Newman University, Master of Science (MSN) from DePaul University and Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University. She has served in many nurse leadership roles such as Dean of Nursing in a University setting, Director of Nursing in long-term care and Consultant.

Tina’s combined experience in the healthcare system, higher education and nursing leadership inspired her to start the practice “Legal Care Nurse Consulting (LCNC)” to work directly with attorneys as a nurse and patient advocate during litigation proceedings. Her mantra “People perish for the lack of knowledge.” has become the cornerstone of her career in nursing and higher education. Dr. Parks continues to lend her expertise to assure patients experiencing discomfort and dis-ease will be given holistic options and the knowledge to take control of their own health so they can live their best lives now.

Kelli Parrish

FNP-C

Kelli has over 20 years of experience in healthcare and provides a holistic, functional approach. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Holistic Health Coach, and Yoga Instructor. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Ohio University, Health Coach Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and functional medicine training from the Institute of Functional Medicine.


She has worked in both the emergency and primary care setting. She is caring and passionate about helping others achieve their optimal health and loves helping women balance hormones, lose weight and improve overall health. She believes in developing a partnership with her patients. Kelli has personally dealt with her own hormone problems and understands how it feels to go through this process.


Kelli grew up in west-central Ohio and currently resides in the Columbus area with her husband and daughter. They enjoy camping, hiking, and trips to the zoo. In her free time, you will find Kelli at a yoga class, listening to a podcast, or enjoying time outside in nature.
