
Dr. Kathryn Nelson-Murphy, DNP, DNH, FNP-BC
Dr. Nelson has an extensive background in education, prevention, and wellness. Having worked in the health care arena for nearly 40 years, she has had the privilege to help innumerable people improve their health and well being. She possesses expertise in bio-identical hormone replacement, thyroid management, adrenal fatigue, cardio-vascular prevention, and primary care. Dr. Nelson believes strongly in education and partnering with patients to achieve their health care goals. Many of the diseases that affect us, such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and chronic stress, can be avoided with proper nutrition, physical activity, nutritional supplements, and restoring the body to proper balance. With not only clinical expertise, but also a background in education, Dr. Nelson believes it is imperative for the patient to understand what is happening to their bodies, be educated in health management, and partner with the medical provider to reach their goals.
Dr. Nelson has presented health care topics at local, state, and national venues. She has also served as adjunct faculty for Indiana Wesleyan University and has been a preceptor and educator for many local universities.

Dr. Tammy Blevins, DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Tammy is a mother, veteran, and doctor. She recently received her doctorate degree in April and her scope of practice encompasses a passion for patient-focused care and customer service and satisfaction. Tammy works with people of all ages and their families, providing information people need to make informed holistic decisions about their health care and lifestyle choices.
She began her career in the United States Air Force as an active duty operating room scrub technician. Since that time she has accumulated nearly 35 years of nursing experience and education in various areas of patient care (cardiac, trauma, surgery, pre and post-operative care, home wellness, staff training, sales and marketing, and surgical manager).
Tammy has a unique combination of strong nursing skills and strives to provide the best health care possible. She believes in building a long-lasting and trusting relationship with patients and customers. She seeks to acquire a comprehensive evaluation of every patient by taking time to listen and understand their particular needs. Her true desire is to enhance a positive healing experience and confidence to those in need.

Laura Weber, FNP-BC
Laura is our new board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is an Ohio native and obtained her nursing degree from Wright State University in 2009. She worked as an ER nurse during her nursing career and while obtaining her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2014. She also has a background in business with degrees in Marketing and Management from Wright State University from 2004.
Laura believes strongly in partnering with her patients to achieve their health management goals, assisting each patient to be functional and productive in their daily life and improving their health. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings since graduation. She has experience in multiple areas including genetic testing and hormone replacement therapy. She provides care to patients utilizing a functional medicine emphasis.
Laura believes strongly in education and collaboration, with not only clinical expertise but a strong educational knowledge. She feels it is imperative for each patient to understand what is happening in their body and their role in health improvement and outcomes.

Dr. Kim Sunshein, DNP, FNP-BC
Kimberly Sunshein, DNP, FNP-BC, has 15 years experience as a Family Nurse
Practitioner. She received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Cincinnati in 2018, her Master of Nursing degree at Wright State University, and her Bachelor of Nursing degree at Radford University. Her work experience includes an Army Nurse Corps officer, an emergency department nurse practitioner for the past 16 years, along with employment at a nursing facility as a nurse practitioner. Her scope of practice and professional interests include weight loss & overall health, family practice and emergency medicine.
Kim loves to spend time with family. She is married with three grown children: Kyle, Morgan and Tyler, and a newborn granddaughter, Riley. Her favorite stress reduction activity is running trails with their two labrador retrievers, Mya and Zoey. She loves to ride her horse, Tassa, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.

Cherie Gee, FNP-BC
Cherie is our new board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her nursing degree from the The University of Cincinnati in 2005. She has experience in a variety of settings most of her nursing career has been spend in critical care, including ten years in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. She obtained her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2020 from Chamberlain University. Cherie is married with three children. A majority of her free time is spent with family at her children’s’ extracurricular activities.
Cherie believes in spending time getting to know her patients in order to give the best possible care. This allows for a strong partnership with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. She also believes thorough patient education is important to a patient’s success. Through her own experiences she has gained an appreciation for functional medicine and helping patients become their best.

Dr. Kacey Adams
R.Ph., Pharm.D., M.S., M.B.A
Dr. Kacey Adams earned Doctorate of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees from Cedarville University, a Master of Science in Biology degree from Wright State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wittenberg University. She is certified in medication therapy management, has completed compounding training through Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA), and has received training in functional medicine through Functional Medicine University.
Dr. Adams values the connection between body systems and looks beyond symptoms to manage illness. Through implementing a functional medicine approach, she creates patient-centered strategies for improving health. She believes in educating and empowering patients to be participants in their health and wellness journey, and enjoys helping people reach their goals for well-being. Areas of special interest include infertility, autism, gut health, genomics, and environmental toxins.
Having a background in biology and environmental science, Dr. Adams has worked for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency where she served as an emergency responder. Utilizing this experience, she has served as chair of the Ohio Pharmacists Association’s Preparedness Task Force for several years. She enjoys merging her experience with the Ohio EPA and healthcare, and advocates for patients to lessen the impact of environmental toxins on their health.
With experience in fertility challenges, Dr. Adams is passionate about helping patients who are trying to conceive. She uses a functional medicine approach to help patients balance their bodies and increase likelihood of achieving a successful pregnancy. She strives to educate patients on holistic, integrative therapies and guide them toward optimizing their health prior to natural conception or assisted reproductive technologies.
Dr. Adams was raised on a grain and dairy farm in midwestern Ohio and resides in a rural area where she can enjoy her love for nature. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and extended family, and is an avid pianist and music enthusiast.

Jeff Hogrefe, R.Ph. , AFAARM
Jeff Hogrefe, R.Ph., AFFAARM, graduated in 1987 from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and received specialized compounding training at the Professional Compounding Center of America (PCCA) in Houston, Texas in 2004. At PCCA he was trained in both sterile and non-sterile compounding and he regularly attends continuing education seminars.
In addition, Jeff has specialized training in asthma, diabetes care, and complementary IV therapies. Jeff studied with A4M for his degree in Functional Medicine. In the fall of 2013, Jeff received his Advanced Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Regenerative Medicine. He continues his affiliation with A4M (Academy of Anti-aging and Regenerative Medicine) by serving as a Diplomate. In the winter of 2018, Jeff became certified in nutrigenomic testing. Also, he is currently in a 2-year program with cancer scientist, Dr. Mark Rosenberg, dealing with innovative and Integrative screening and treatment of cancers. Jeff has a passion for helping men and women prevent disease and live a higher quality of life.
